Hello! I'm Sushmitha Reddy Ravula, originally from India, and a proud mother of two teenage boys. I have been living in the United States since 2001, and as a certified project management professional, I've spent nearly two decades in the IT industry, honing my skills and taking on various leadership roles. During my last seven years in India, I embraced new and challenging responsibilities, learning and growing in each position. In early 2023, after returning to the US and reflecting on my career achievements, I decided to take a well-deserved break to focus on my family and company.
The Inspiration Behind Tishya
My sons are fitness enthusiasts with a focus on bodybuilding. They leaned towards meat to meet their daily protein needs. As a vegetarian, I was determined to ensure they received a balanced diet, so I set out to develop a home-based vegan protein diet that would satisfy both my sons and my husband, who is diabetic.
The Journey to Tishya
With guidance from my hometown physician on the base recipe for a protein-rich diet, I spent over 12 months analyzing and experimenting. My efforts culminated in creating a plant-based protein powder that I tested in various dishes. The positive impact of yoga and this protein-rich diet inspired me to share it with a broader audience. In early March 2024, I introduced my protein-rich products to a small audience in Hyderabad. The response was overwhelming, and soon after, my Protein Shake was officially launched by Dr. Prathusha Nerella, MD, a Diabetes and Lifestyle Specialist in Hyderabad.
